DSPSR ensures an effective academic-cum-professional interface between the institution and industry , by emphasizing practical orientation for which, DSPSR keeps on arranging periodic visits of students and the faculty to reputed companies and their plants to facilitate. Their familiarity with the functioning of organizations so that they could relate the class-room knowledge to ground realities in business.

Further, there is interaction of students with industry through their in course projects (Practical Industrial Programming - PIP) and summer projects.
SUMMER TRAINING
All students are
required to undergo summer training of 8 to 10 weeks
during the months of May & June with a business
establishment where they are assigned specific task /
assignment relating to business. On the successful
completion of the summer project, they prepare a Project
Report which is evaluated by a panel of examiners. The
project is intended to give students a better
appreciation of the practical problems and an
opportunity to sharpen their knowledge and skills.
The students get full time exposure, during this period,
to corporate world and first hand experience of their
future career.
