LATEST AT DSPSR

 

A number of activities were conducted by the Event Management Team and Cultural Management Team headed by Ms. Meha Joshi .  According to her “Here at DSPSR, we not only believe in making our students academically strong , but also try to develop them in a holistic perspective. We try to cultivate qualities in our students by means of various activities , so that they could harvest the same in their future endeavors.

 

Induction Day -  July 12, 2010

An Induction Day was organized in the college campus to welcome the Freshers of PGDM Part Time and Full Time courses. The purpose behind the same was not only to familiarize the students with the rules and regulations of the Institute but also to acquaint them with the vision, mission, goals of the Institution that it strives to realize. The celebration started with the welcome note by the Chairman and the Director and was followed by the presentation on “Competence mapping” by the President. The regular teaching as per the Institution’s time –table started from the very next day, i.e. ; July 12, 2010

 

Guest lecture by Mr. Kamal Singh, Director-CMD,AIMA -  July 24, 2010

 A Guest lecture was organized on July 24, 2010, wherein Mr. Kamal Singh, Director-CMD, AIMA , touched upon the various dimensions relating  to the Global Challenges which the management graduates have to face in today’s competitive world. It was an informative and interactive session which enlightened the students and Faculty members alike.

 

Guest Lecture by Dr. Abhijeet Singh,Associate Professor,F.M.S, Banaras Hindu University - July 27,2010

Dr. Abhijeet Singh, Associate Professor, F.M.S, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi , delivered a guest lecture on July 27, 2010.    He talked about the basics of Entrepreneurial Development. Many of the students were motivated to toy with the idea of starting their own ventures after attending the enlightening session by Dr. Abhijeet Singh.

 

Poster Making Competition - August 7, 2010

A poster making competition was organized on August 7, 2010 with the theme”National Integrity”. The students actively participated in the same and came up with different ideas to depict the message of unity in diversity, peace, love and to follow the path of righteousness. The broad idea behind the same was to instill a sense of nationalism among the students.

 

Solo Singing Competition - August 14, 2010

With great fervor and enthusiasm, students participated in a solo singing competition organized on August 14, 2010 on the eve of Independence Day. They presented excellent performances. Adding to the same, all the Faculty members also gave their solo performances. The programme ended up with National song “Vande Mataram” and the National Anthem.

 

Guest   Lecture  by  Mr. Matthew Cooper, General Manager,  Courtyard by Marriot, Gurgaon –    August 22, 2010

On 22nd August, 2010, Mr. Matthew Cooper, General Manager, Courtyard by Marriot delivered a lecture on ”What General Managers Look for in Total Quality People”. He talked about the intricacies of the recruitment process and provided an insight into the practical aspects of those theoretical dimensions that are taught to the students.

 

Rakhi Making Competition on August 22, 2010

A Rakhi Making competition was organized on August 22, 2010.Many of the students participated in the same and made beautiful Rakhis . All the participants made  Rakhis with great enthusiasm.

 

Freshers’ Party -  August 31, 2010

Freshers’ Party was organized on August 31, 2010, by the 3rd Semester Students to welcome their juniors. A grand celebration was made to do the same. The event started with Ganesh Vandana and was followed by Mr. and Miss Fresher Contest, skits, solo and group songs and dance performances by the students .It ended with a jam session in which everyone tapped feet and danced to the glory of the occasion.

 

Janmashtami Mahotsav- September 1, 2010

A Bhajan Sandhya was organized on the occasion of Lord Krishna Janmashtami on 1st  September, 2010.All the students and Faculty members offered their propitiation to the lotus feet of Shri Krishna and were truly engrossed in the Bhajans sung by them.

 

Teachers’ Day – September 5, 2010

Dr. Abaad Ahmed was felicitated on September 5, 2010 on the occasion of Teachers’ Day. He was conferred with the coveted “Life Time Achievement Award” .The programme started with the welcome note by the Director , was followed by the Chairman’s speech, Director General’s speech , Dr. Abaad’s speech in which he illuminated the spirit of the students with a motivational speech and his practical life experiences. It ended with a vote of Thanks by the Director.
